"Interface between a Proxy MIPv6 Mobility Access Gateway and a Mobile Node", Julien Laganier, Sathya Narayanan, Peter McCann, 13-Feb-08. ( bytes)
- This document describes an interface between mobile nodes (MNs) and a
mobility access gateway (MAG) of a network-based localized mobility
management (NETLMM) domain. The interface has two functions which
are invoked when a MN attaches and detaches from a MAG. The
attachment function lets the MAG authenticate the MN identifier, does
address(es) and default router configuration for the MN, and informs
the MAG about the multicast listener state of the MN. During the
attachment function the NETLMM protocol is triggered between the MAG
and Localized Mobility Anchor (LMA) to register the MN in the local
domain. The detachment function lets the MAG detect that the MN has
left so that it can deregister the MN at the LMA using the NETLMM
protocol.

"Proxy Mobile IPv6", Sri Gundavelli, Kent Leung, Vijay Devarapalli, Kuntal Chowdhury, Basavaraj Patil, 13-May-08. ( bytes)
- Network-based mobility management enables IP mobility for a host
without requiring its participation in any mobility related
signaling. The Network is responsible for managing IP mobility on
behalf of the host. The mobility entities in the network are
responsible for tracking the movements of the host and initiating the
required mobility signaling on its behalf. This specification
describes a network-based mobility management protocol and is
referred to as Proxy Mobile IPv6.

"IPv4 Support for Proxy Mobile IPv6", Ryuji Wakikawa, Sri Gundavelli, 19-Nov-07. ( bytes)
- This document specifies extensions to Proxy Mobile IPv6 protocol for
supporting IPv4 protocol. The scope of this IPv4 support includes
the support for the mobile node's IPv4 home address mobility and for
allowing the mobility entities in the Proxy Mobile IPv6 domain to
exchange signaling messages over IPv4 transport. The solution
leverages the extensions defined in DSMIPv6 specification for
achieving this.
