Dan Romascanu currently serves as Operations and Management Area Director. Dan is a long-time participant in the IETF as well as in other standards organizations such as the IEEE 802, and a contributor in a number of Working Groups in the Operations and Management, Real-Time Applications and Transport Areas. He chaired the Ethernet Interfaces and Hub MIB WG and the Bridge MIB WG and has authored several RFCs in the fields of Distributed Management, Performance Monitoring, Ethernet Management, and Management Information Base (MIB) modules definition. Dan is a Senior Architect with Avaya where he led and contributed to several projects in management software, routing, and IP telephony and has received a Master of Sciences degree with the Politehnica Institute in Bucharest, Romania.
