Jari Arkko, Internet Area
Jari Arkko is a researcher focusing on Internet architecture, security and mobility issues at Ericsson Research Nomadiclab in Jorvas, Finland. He is an active participant in the IETF and a contributor in a number of research groups in the IRTF. He is a author of the specifications for the Mobile IPv6, Secure Neighbor Discovery, and Diameter base protocols, as well as numerous protocols extensions. He has chaired the Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP), IKEv2 Mobility and Multihoming (MOBIKE), and EAP Methods Update (EMU) working groups, and currently serves as an Area Director of the Internet Area. In the past, Jari has worked in the implementation of various software and communication systems. He received his Licentiate's degree from Helsinki University of Technology in 1996.
