    2. The IESG approved publication of Definitions of Managed Objects for
    Remote Ping, Traceroute, and Lookup Operations
    <draft-ietf-disman-remops-mib-08.txt> as a Proposed Standard. Steve
    to send announcement.

    3. The IESG approved publication of LDAP Extensions for Scrolling View
    Browsing of Search Results <draft-ietf-ldapext-ldapv3-vlv-04.txt>
    as a Proposed Standard. Steve to send announcement.

    4. The IESG approved tentatively publication of Applicability
    Statement for HTTP State Management

    8. The IESG tentatively approved creation of the Blocks eXtensible
    eXchange Protocol (bxxpwg) Working Group, but a slight modification
    of the charter text was desired. Ned to draft and post to the IESG
    AND to the chair of the WG. If no one raises an objection, and the
    WG Chair explicitly says he is happy with it, the charter text will
    be updated and Steve will send announcement.

    9. The IESG directed Steve to send the WG Review message for the
    Kerberos WG (krb-wg) to the IETF-Announcement and new-work mailing
    lists.

    10. The IESG directed Steve to send the WG Review message for the
    Source-Specific Multicast (ssm) to the IETF-Announcement and new-
    work mailing lists.

    11. The IESG directed Steve to send the WG Review message for the ICMP
    Traceback (itrace) WG to the IETF-Announcement and new-work mailing
    lists.

    12. The IESG approved publication of 6BONE pTLA and pNLA Formats (pTLA)

    20. The IESG had no problem with the publication of AAA Authorization
    Application Examples <draft-irtf-aaaarch-authorization-apps-01.txt>
    as an Informational RFC. Steve to notify RFC Editor.

    21. The IESG had no problem with the publication of AAA Authorization
    Requirements <draft-irtf-aaaarch-authorization-reqs-01.txt> as an
    Informational RFC. Steve to notify RFC Editor.

    22. Scott reported an IPR issue with respect to A rate adaptive shaper
    for differentiated services
    <draft-bonaventure-diffserv-rashaper-02.txt>, and will be
    contacting the author.

    23. The IESG had no problem with the publication of A Core MPLS IP VPN
    Architecture <draft-muthukrishnan-mpls-corevpn-arch-03.txt> as an
    Informational RFC. Steve to notify RFC Editor.

    24. The RFC Editor informed the IESG that Documenting Special Use IPv4
    Address Block that have been registered with IANA
    <draft-manning-dsua-03.txt> had been withdrawn from the IESG queue.

    25. The IESG accepted the text provided by Thomas as a responce to
    Eugene Terrell's request for an IP protocol number. Steve to send
    to IANA.

    26. The IESG decided to recomment against publication of Definition of
    the DNS GL Resource Record used to encode Geographic Locations
    <draft-costanzo-dns-gl-03.txt>. Thomas to provide text to be used.
    When received, Steve to convey to RFC Editor.

    27. Ned conveyed his intent to have those on the SMTP Extentsions email
    list to review SMTP Service Extension for Slightly Differing
    Multicast Messages (SLIDE) <draft-ward-esmtp-slide-03.txt>. Steve
    to notify the RFC Editor.

    28. Based on Patrik's analsis, the IESG decided to recommend against
    publication of Structured Data Exchange Format (SDXF)
    <draft-wildgrube-sdxf-05.txt>. Steve to convey to RFC Editor.

    30. Steve was asked to compose a note to the WG Chairs about Company
    logos appearing on IETF Working Group slides, especially those that
    appear on every slide, asking them to remind the presentors that
    the IETF is composed of individuals. Steve to send initial draft to
    IESG for comment.

    31. The IESG approved publication of Overview of the 1998 IAB Routing
    Workshop <draft-iab-rtrws-over-03.txt> as an Informational
    RFC. Steve to send announcement.

    32. Randy and John volunteered to put together a message to the Poisson
    Working Group describing the revised IPR policy. Steve to send to
    the WG.

    33. The IESG approved publication of Conversion of LDAP Schemas to and
    from SLP Templates <draft-ietf-svrloc-template-conversion-07.txt>
    as an Informational RFC. Steve to send announcement.

    Action Items:

    1. Ned to draft an IESG Note pertaining to the .local domain for

    about not allocating certain pseudo tlds.

    discuss IPR issue
