    1. The minutes of the August 8 Teleconference were approved, pending

items. When done, Steve to place in public archives.

    2. The IESG tentatively approved publication of Remote Network
Monitoring MIB Protocol Identifier Reference Extensions
<draft-ietf-rmonmib-appverbs-04.txt> as a Proposed Standard. Bert
to contact authors about additional text for the Security
Considerations section. When Bert conveys an OK, Steve to send

Proposed Standard. Allison to draft RFC Editor note, which will be

    announcement.

    5. The IESG supports the RFC editor adoption of the guidelines
discussed in RFC Editor Guidelines on Author Lists
    <draft-rfc-editor-author-lists-00.txt>. However, rather than
publish it as a standalone informational document, the IESG
recommends that the RFC editor merge the text into its current
revision of "Instructions to Request for Comments (RFC) Authors"
document. Steve to take Scott's text, rework the announcement, and
send to the IESG. If OK, the announcement is to be posted.

    6. Steve to send a WG Review message for V6 Operations (v6ops), a
proposed Working Group in the Management and Operations Area.

    7. The IESG approved publication of Network Hierarchy and Multilayer

Initiation Protocol (SIP) for the 3rd-Generation Partnership
    Project (3GPP) <draft-garcia-sipping-3gpp-p-headers-01.txt> as an
Informational RFC, but an RFC Editor Note is needed. Allison to
provide text, Steve to send announcement.

    10. The IESG did not approve publication of Policy-based Accounting
