    6. Management Issues
    6.1 Appointing IESG Whips (Brian Carpenter)

    The management issue was discussed. The IESG agreed to appoint Bill Fenner
    and Russ Housley as IESG Whips, specifically to focus on procedural
    efficiency. They will update the job description discussed at the recent
    IESG retreat. The word "whip" is borrowed from its use in many
    parliamentary systems such as those of India or Singapore.

    6.2 Response to Morfin Appeal Against draft-ietf-ltru-registry (Sam Hartman)

    The management issue was discussed. The IESG approved the response to the
    Morfin Appeal Against draft-ietf-ltru-registry.

    6.3 Appointment of interim reviewer for the URI registries created under
    RFC 4395. (Ted Hardie)

    The management issue was discussed. The IESG approved the appointment of
    Graham Klyne as the interim reviewer for the URI registries created under
    RFC 4395.

    6.4 Appeal response to J-F. C. Morfin's appeal to his suspension from the
    ietf-languages mailing list. (Ted Hardie)

    The management issue was discussed. The IESG approved the response to J-F.
    C. Morfin's appeal of his suspension from the ietf-languages mailing list.

    6.5 IESG appointment to IAOC (Brian Carpenter)

    The management issue was discussed. The IESG has selected Kurtis Lindqvist
    for a two-year stint on the IAOC from March 2006.

    6.6 Confirmation of NomCom nominee for IAOC (Brian Carpenter)

    The management issue was discussed. The IESG confirmed the nomination.

    The management issue was discussed. The IESG approved the IESG Statement on
