Participating in Efforts of the IETF The IETF is not a membership organization (no cards, no dues, no secret handshakes :-) The IETF is a large open international community of network designers, operators, vendors, and researchers concerned with the evolution of the Internet architecture and the smooth operation of the Internet. It is open to any interested individual. The actual technical work of the IETF is done in its working groups. To become a participant in the IETF, one merely becomes active in one or more working groups by asking to be added to the WG's mailing list. |
