Our apologies if you have received multiple copies of this message.

CALL FOR POSTERS
First International Conference on Quality of Service in Heterogeneous
Wired/Wireless Networks
QShine 2004
http://qshine.org/
October 18-20, 2004
Dallas, Texas, USA
Technically Co-Sponsored by IEEE Dallas Chapter, IEEE and ACM (*Approval
Pending)
Recent technological developments in broadband high-speed networks,
peer-to-peer networks, wireless and mobile networks, and grid computing
have led to newer challenging problems, such as providing QoS support to
the emerging high-speed internet and multimedia applications across both
wired and wireless networks.
This conference will focus on all aspects of QoS support for
heterogeneous wired and wireless networks. Papers addressing cross-layer
design on QoS support for both wired and wireless networks are strongly
encouraged. It will serve as a forum for researchers from both academia
and industry for presenting recent research results in QoS issues for
both wired and wireless networks.
The conference will include a poster session that highlights recent and
on-going research that has not been published elsewhere. Poster
submissions will be reviewed and the summaries of accepted posters will
appear in the conference proceedings. Submissions should consist of a
2-page summary using the IEEE 2 column formats as well as a rough draft
of the poster in PDF.
The poster draft may be either a single sheet or multiple sheets. The
draft is meant to provide an initial impression of the organization and
presentation of the work. It does not need to be a completed poster but
needs to at least convey the flow and presentation of what will be the
final poster. Both 2-page summary and poster draft should be mailed
together to qshine at lists.ucla.edu. If authors plan to show a
demonstration in conjunction with the poster, its rough description and
logistical requirement should also be included in the message.
The conference features prominent invited speakers as well as papers by
top researchers in the field. Please join us in Dallas for QShine 2004!
