Well, I realize some view any disagreement as an act of personal
violence and throws them into a blind rage, but I'd phrase it as RMX
(et al) isn't likely to stop any significant amount of spam and
therefore shouldn't be sold to the public (which is ultimately what
the ietf is about, what should be recommended to the public) as good
technology.

If that's "tromping on the discussion" so be it.
