Dave, I will follow your lead in this.

To repeat what I said previously: I find your misrepresentations of
my position to be so egregiously wrong as to be deliberate insults.

You have a pattern of intrepreting what I say in the worst possible
way, to make it sound like I'm saying the stupidest possible nonsense.
You demand that I address issues, and when I do, you ignore my
responses, and demand that I address new issues. The majority of your
responses to me ignore most of what I say, ignore my points, ignore
the evidence which backs up my assertions, and just says "No Alan,
you're wrong."

  That's rude.

I agree. That is why I'm also asking you to stop making false
claims about my beliefs, capabilities, and desires.

Saying "Alan wants to re-define existing terms" is an ad hominem.
It's a *lie*, and when I try to deny that lie, you refuse to
acknowledge that you lied, or that I tried to refute it.

So far, you haven't recognized that your representations of my
position are ad hominems. But it's true. They are.

My recent statements about your position were intended to get you to
address the issues I've been raising. As you now realize, when you
think someone else is grossly misrepresenting your position, it can be
very frustrating. Please recognize that the emotions you're now
feeling about my statements are the same emotions I've had all along
about your statements towards me. And until now, *nothing* I did made
you recognize that you were having this effect, or that your behavior
was unprofessional.

If you can't take it, don't dish it out.

I would like to continue discussing issues with you in a
professional manner. But recognize that if you lie about my position,
or answer me with "No, you're wrong", my responses are going to be
blunt and straightforward.

  Alan DeKok.
