RAID (though RAID-5 is a bad choice for write-intensive applications),
industrial-quality RAID controller (disks these days can be SCSI, SATA,
or high-performance ATA without much difference depending on the
controller), and reasonable backup (which I don't consider
controller-based auto-backup to be).
