RE: [AVT] Question bout motion vector



Adam is completely correct.  The video coding format standard doesn't
tell anyone how to find good motion vectors.  That is up to encoder
designers to figure out on their own.  (But the method described by
Kelly is a pretty good method if you can stand the complexity, and it is
what we use in what we call the "Joint Model" reference encoding
algorithm.)

This discussion may not necessarily be totally on-topic for AVT, as it
has nothing to do with transport.  I hope no one minds.
