Tom, I thought we all had agreement on the following. Specification is 
required if one registers it with IANA. It is allowed to use 
private/propreiatry extensions as long as they are idnentified by a 
unique URI.

I hope you haven't lumped me into the "ADs" category in this case. 
Because in this regard I am only a contributor.
