[dccp] Status of tcpdump and ethereal for DCCP

Hi there,

I'm just trying to track down some errors at the moment and using a
mixture of ethereal, tcpdump and printk etc.

I was just wondering whether anybody working on development is proposing
to submit patches to tcpdump/ethereal for latest specs? If not I may
consider doing it...

As I see it the status of tcpdump is that it seems to work with
Arnaldo/my implementation of dccp (latest specs) with the following patch:
http://master.kernel.org/~acme/dccp-tcpdump-20050407.patch

NB To build you have to download a weekly CVS build of tcpdump and
libpcab dated 2004/11/22. It does not seem to have made it into a
mainline release.

Ethereal does have a patch but doesn't work fully with our release to
decode due to probably implementing an earlier version of the protocol.

Any comments/people working on patches would be appreciated.

Regards,

Ian
