[dccp] DCCP interop
Hi,
Tom and me have chatted with some implementors off-list about whether
there is interest in an DCCP interop and we've gotten mostly positive
responses. We'd therefore like to get an more complete show of hands
from implementors and also collect some information that will help us
schedule and organize this event.
Thus far, the idea is to test implementations of the latest, RFC-to-
be spec and CCIDs. The targeted time for the event is somewhere
between the next two IETFs, i.e., roughly November 2005 - March 2006
at a to-be-determined location (see below).
We'd like to gather some information from implementors that will help
us schedule the event, if there is interest. It'd be great if the
implementors of the existing DCCP stacks would briefly answer the
questions below (one reply per implementation, if possible):
Name of implementation:
Implementors interested in attending an interop (names & email
addresses):
Implementation will support latest spec and CCIDs by November 2005
(yes/no):
Implementation will support some experimental extensions (VoIP, fast-
start, etc.) by November 2005 (yes/no):
Would the implementors attend IETF-64 (Vancouver, Canada) if the
interop was colocated (yes/no):
Would the implementors attend IETF-65 (USA, possibly Dallas, TX) if
the interop was colocated (yes/no):
Other travel restrictions or scheduling constraints:
Thanks,
Lars
PS: We'd also be interested in hearing from people off-list that
would be interested in helping to organize this, possibly but not
necessarily in conjunction with another interop event.
