Apologies if I'm beating a dead horse, but if you just say "these
queries are done by UDP and these are done by TCP," and there is no
intersection, then there's no possibility of a query failure due to
an unsupported transport.
If there is no intersection, then yes. But if I understand Marks answer correctly, then it is not ruled out yet, that it would be possible to answer UDP based query types over TCP (I future draft version can clarify that). I could see that this might be useful if an existing TCP connection will be used for all query types, once it is established.
