I was talking about introducing another element in DSLAMs to apply filters (IP/MAC) based on PANA in addition to what it does by doing DHCP snooping. I am not saying that it is not doable. I am just saying that it is an additional work whereas there is no change required in case of DHCP based solution.

After receiving DHCP offer, the client takes the offered IP address and PAA address and initiate PANA (instead of doing traditional Request/Ack process and then make use of the IP address). This is one tweak. And then based on PANA result you restart the DHCP Discover process and take the other IP address. So, isnt there a change in the way DHCP is done?
Thanks.
