That's fine, the pattern of synchronous control followed by
asynchronous data is simple, and matches the real world use cases I've
seen.  This is naturally handled by two protocols, and HTTP -> BWTP
feels exactly right.

Presumably we could do a kind of BWTP emulation over HTTP, for
prototyping or proof of concept.

FWIW, I've been trying to get this pattern into AMQP (www.amqp.org)
for about two years, without success.

You might want to add some legal framing so that contributions are
properly reusable.  Digistan.org has a template (spec.digistan.org),
which we used for restms.org.  It just avoids the problem that a
contributor 'accidentally' adds something they then patent.

There is also a legal package at packages.wikidot.com, which may be sufficient.
