For those of you actually interested in using democratic processes to operate Internet organizations: The Internet Society (ISOC) is in the midst of its nomination and election process to decide on five positions of its Board of Trustees. One third of the 15 member board is elected each year. The term of office is three years. The individual members of the ISOC vote to elect the Trustees.
