RE: IP QoS issues



It seems we are confusing what is available today versus what will be
available in future. We can accomplish a lot of things with IP QoS which is
what a lot of vendors are trying to do. Can we use it today in place of ATM?
I presume no.

Theoretically yes. I haven't seen a router yet that can deliver this
performance despite all the marketing hype.
Still ATM is more commonly used for high performance, because it was there
before IP and multi layer switching/routing.
