The IESG has received a request from the Extensions to FTP Working
Group to consider FTP Security Considerations
<draft-ietf-ftpext-sec-consider-01.txt> as an Informational RFC.

The IESG plans to make a decision in the next few weeks, and solicits
final comments on this action.  Please send any comments to the
iesg at ietf.org or ietf at ietf.org mailing lists by July 31, 1998.
