Egonomics

I have been on this list for sometime now and, while I get the occasional 
tidbit of information that is useful, is seems that most of the time a few 
people are shooting e-mails back and forth trying to see who has the 
biggest penis.  What is wrong with you?  Are you mental?  When I first 
joined this list there wasn't this much infighting going on; what has 
changed?  Disagreement is part of the process, we all know that, but why be 
so vehement about the way you disagree?  This is not a "Why Can't We All 
Just Get Along" tirade--quite the opposite in fact.  I think disagreement 
is what fuels this list, but the ego's need to be checked at the door.
	Oh yeah, for you egomaniacs who are reading this and thinking "That's not 
me," trust me it is you.  For the other half of the egomaniacs who are 
reading this and saying, "This guy has no idea what he is talking about." 
 I have only one thing to say to you --bite me.
	As for the rest of you who have been on this list and staying silent, you  
 need to speak up.  If these people want to do personal attacks there is 
no reason for the rest of us to suffer.  Say something!
