That assumes that someone's company is irrelevant to their viewpoints. I don't think this is generally true in practice (depends on the company and the person, of course), and I don't see why it necessarily should be either. (If I were to send someone to the IETF on my dime I'd sure want them to stick up for my interests to a reasonable degree.)


So in the interest of full disclosure, people's affiliations should be easy to discover.
