Mailman unsubscribe FAQ (Was: unsubscribe)
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
(offtopic, but this seems to be a very difficult subject for many people)
How difficult is it to unsubscribe from mailman managed mailinglists
when the bottom of every message contains (snipped from the message):
> --------------------------------------------------------------------
> IETF IPv6 working group mailing list
> ipv6@ietf.org
> Administrative Requests: https://www1.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/ipv6
> --------------------------------------------------------------------
This URL contains all the information and html forms to unsubscribe.
Note also that the headers contain:
List-Unsubscribe: <https://www1.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/ipv6>,
<mailto:ipv6-request@ietf.org?subject=unsubscribe>
List-Id: IP Version 6 Working Group (ipv6) <ipv6.ietf.org>
List-Post: <mailto:ipv6@ietf.org>
List-Help: <mailto:ipv6-request@ietf.org?subject=help>
List-Subscribe: <https://www1.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/ipv6>,
<mailto:ipv6-request@ietf.org?subject=subscribe>
Thus even a message to ipv6-request@ietf.org?subject=unsubscribe should
unsubscribe you. This *should* be clear enough for any person that has
at least some brains :)
If you don't have enough brains, or there are some other issues you
can ofcourse contact ipv6-admin@ietf.org which will also take care
of your requests swiftly.
Greets,
Jeroen
