The situation isn't so complicated.  P-IMAP is just an input document, 
an informational reference, just like many of the other drafts submitted 
to Lemonade for discussion of ideas and techniques. For example, all the 
draft-smaes documents, the OMA materials on the Supplemental Page, stuff 
like clearidle, videomsg, etc. Some stuff gets pick up in discussion, 
refined, and makes it into draft-ietf-lemonade-* documents, and alot 
more expires and disappears.  Look at the Lemonade drafts archive and 
all of those dead non-Lemonade drafts. :)
