Charsets and scripts are distinct concepts. Charsets are encodings of
characters into octets. Scripts are collections of characters used in
writing systems, and have no connection with encoding. ISO 8859-1 and
Win-1252 are charsets. Latin, Greek, and Cherokee are scripts.
