May I suggest that if one is willing to read the FDIS text, it would be reasonably clear that it doesn't aim to list "anything".Please provide a link to the FDIS text. I can't find it.People can contact their national standards body to request the FDIS text. You can find the DIS here:http://scripts.sil.org/cms/scripts/page.php?site_id=nrsi&item_id=PCUnicodeDocs&highlight=639#367db883-a50e5f80
I know that the national body is the normal place for individuals to go for Final Draft standards.
In our particular, unique case, we are:1) trying to update an Internet standard (lowercase "s"), almost entirely for the purpose of adding support for ISO 639-3, which will certainly be the first, and probably the highest-profile, application to use ISO 639-3;
2) joined in this effort by the Project Editor for ISO 639-3; and3) being reminded (or cajoled) multiple times by the Project Editor to check a copy of the FDIS for updated information.
Given all this, instead of each of us trying to figure out whom specifically at ANSI (or wherever) we need to contact for a personal copy, it seems more logical to me that the Project Editor might offer this group a direct link to the FDIS text.
