We just don't know enough, and probably never will, to figure out whether
the top-level split in Celtic is between Continental (Gaulish, Lepontic,
Celtiberian) and Insular (Brythonic and Goedelic), as shown here and at
Ethnologue, or whether it's between P-Celtic (Celtiberian and Brythonic)
and Q-Celtic (Gaulish and Goedelic).
So one has to choose.
