Hi All,
I have one query regarding the notify completion.
According to H.248.1 version 3 :
"If the NotifyCompletion Parameter is not included in a Signals Descriptor, notification is generated only if the signal stopped or was never started for other reasons. For reporting to occur, the Signal Completion Event (see E.1.2) must be enabled in the currently active Events Descriptor. "
My query is :
How does MRFC knows that signal has been completed successfully or has never started if the notify completion parameter is absent in signals descriptor?
In my opinion, the Meth parameter of g/sc will tell the reason for the notification as allowed values for the Meth (Termination Method) are : TO, EV, SD or NC.
But again the description for TO says "Signal timed out or otherwise completed on its own". Suppose in the notify message to MGC the MRFP specifies termination method a "TO" . Then what couls be the reason? Is it time out or the signal completed on its own?
Thanks in advance,
Shalu
