Annamaria,

The intention of the figure was to illustrate the many uses of IP addresses in MPLS networks in general. These include node addressing, OAM demultiplexing, and forwarding of OAM, user, control plane and network management packets. 

We wanted to explain the use of IP for addressing nodes in general MPLS networks and those which implement MPLS-TP, but the fact that the GAL/GACH can be used instead of IP demultiplexing of OAM in MPLS-TP networks. 

I agree that the figure does not illustrate that very clearly. We will endevour to propose a new figure in the next revision of the draft.
