At 10,000 feet, SNMP was succeeding at monitoring.
But on the ground, it was obvious (SNMPCONF, DIFFSERV-MIB,
APM-MIB, TPM-MIB) that we had reached the
upper bound of SMIv2/SNMP utility.
IMO, new verbs and nested data structures in notifications
are the best parts of YANG. The config database may
turn out to be a 'legacy' concept, and complex verbs may
replace get/set operations on an XML tree someday.
