FW: [pim] I-D ACTION:draft-ietf-pim-mib-v2-06.txt
Folks,
This draft contains all the feedback I received during WGLC, details below.
I believe the WG is done with this draft, and it's ready for IESG review.
Thanks to everyone who has reviewed and commented on the draft.
DMcW.
_Changes since -05_
Substantive:
- pimGroupMapping was wrong to use an 'all-zero' RP IP address mean 'no RP or unknown RP'. Fixed by adding object pimGroupMappingRPAddressType.
Compliance:
- pimMIBCompliance now explicitly lists all groups as optional, to remove detailed smilint warnings.
Description text:
- pimRPMappingChangeCount states clearly that it is incremented by manual configuration changes.
- pimNeighborLoss trap description now refers to pimNeighborss_Trap_Period, not pimNeighbors_Trap_Period
- pimDmGroup explains that pimSsmGroup and pimSmGroup are also required.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the Protocol Independent Multicast Working Group of the IETF.
Title : Protocol Independent Multicast MIB
Author(s) : J. Lingard, et al.
Filename : draft-ietf-pim-mib-v2-06.txt
Pages : 86
Date : 2006-4-13
This memo defines a portion of the Management Information Base (MIB)
for use with network management protocols in the Internet community.
In particular, it describes managed objects used for managing the
Protocol Independent Multicast (PIM) protocols (PIM-SM and BIDIR-
PIM). This document is part of work in progress to obsolete RFC
2934, and is to be preferred where the two documents overlap. This
document does not obsolete RFC 2934.

Send a message to:
mailserv at ietf.org.
In the body type:
"FILE /internet-drafts/draft-ietf-pim-mib-v2-06.txt".
NOTE: The mail server at ietf.org can return the document in
MIME-encoded form by using the "mpack" utility. To use this
feature, insert the command "ENCODING mime" before the "FILE"
command. To decode the response(s), you will need "munpack" or
a MIME-compliant mail reader. Different MIME-compliant mail readers
exhibit different behavior, especially when dealing with
"multipart" MIME messages (i.e. documents which have been split
up into multiple messages), so check your local documentation on
how to manipulate these messages.
Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant mail reader
implementation to automatically retrieve the ASCII version of the
Internet-Draft.
