[pim] draft-ietf-mboned-ip-mcast-mib-02

Title: draft-ietf-mboned-ip-mcast-mib-02

Folks,

New version of the IP multicast MIB.  This includes everyone's comments from IETF-66.

As Marshall said in MBONED, it is time we last-called this draft and sent it for publication.  I request that the chairs run the WG last call now.

Best regards,
David McWalter.

New draft:
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-mboned-ip-mcast-mib-02.txt

Changes from -01 are as follows.

1) New table of zone-to-scope mappings, ipMcastZoneTable
This was requested by Bharat Joshi and Nidhi Bhaskar, discussed in PIM and MBONED WGs.
Conformance group is ipMcastMIBBoundaryIfGroup, mandatory for boundary routers.

2) Added statistics to count TTL-dropped packets.
ipMcastRouteTtlDropPackets, ipMcastRouteTtlDropOctets
This was requested by Simon Leinen, agreed with Andy Kessler.
I've included the effect of ipMcastInterfaceTtl, so these stats count all cases where low TTL causes forwarding to terminate, not just classic TTL-zero drops.

Conformance group is ipMcastMIBRouteGroup, mandatory for all routers.

3) Updated the RPF check statistics to include BIDIR DF check.
ipMcastRouteDifferentInIfPackets, ipMcastRouteDifferentInIfOctets
This was requested by Dino Farinacci in MBONED, agreed with Andy Kessler.

4) IPv6 scoped address prefix lengths, and editorial
Updates to scoped IPv6 address prefix lengths and description text to reference RFC 4407, and conform to it.
Thanks to Bill Fenner for helping me past some IPv6 zoning issues.
