Yes -- but:
- this helps only until the next null register is received
- fom the PIM spec, I don't see the suggested interval between null
registers and whether those are mandatory.
I was not arguing that the blackhole situation would last forever, but
that it could be significant (let's say, in the order of 3-4 minutes).
