Just to further clarify, yes I mis-spoke when I said MSS. The point I was
trying to make was that the plPMTUD *probe size* might be larger than
the MTU of the smallest link on the path - but as long as the correct link
adaptation is happening, this should be considered normal-case.
 
As long as the probes and equal-sized protocol data units are delivered
deterministically along the path, there is no problem (maybe this is
already clear enough from the draft).
