NH=> Not sure how closely you have looked at what John proposed Khalid.  I
have looked carefully at all the various encaps drafts and John's is by far
the best IMO.  Not only does it treat the varying encaps modes in a logical
and easy to follow (in increasing compression-ordering) manner, but its got
a smart way of avoiding fragmentation by using a form of suspend/resume that
triggers frame-sending on an incoming ATM OAM/RM cell when in frame-mode.
I'd like to think people will consider it seriously for adoption.
