True,  but  there  is  no  service interworking  between  ethernet  and  p2p
technologies.   When you  want to  hook up  an ethernet  interface to  a p2p
interface  you usually  end up  having  the CE  encapsulate ethernet  frames
inside the  p2p data link so that  the higher layers see  an ethernet.  It's
difficult to see  what the alternative might be, since  you can't just "map"
a broadcast medium to  a p2p medium.  And ethernet has no  OAM to pass along
anyway; no doubt this will keep it from ever succeeding ;-)

I don't  know whether there's an  ATM-TDM interworking issue or  not, but if
there is, we can be pretty sure  that our TDM sub-group would never agree on
what needs to be done ;-)
