        Yes, you know of a number of societies in which the rights of the 
society take absolute preference over the rights of the individual: 
Stalin's Russia, The People's Republic of China, The Khemer Rouge 
Cambodia, Nazi Germany, and (If Chefren is an indicator) the Netherlands.

This is nuts, and shouting doesn't make it reasonable.

Every society reaches some balance between the rights of the individual
and the rights of the society.  While the balance may be different
in different societies, I don't know of any where the rights of
society take absolute precedence over the rights of the individual.
