Dear,
I am a student at the Faculty of Electrical
Engineering in Skopje, Macedonia. I work on my final thesis now which is about
comparing different header compression techniques for wireless links. I ran a
lot of simulations in ns-2 about TCP throughput without header compression and
now I need to compare the results with a certain header compression scheme. From
what I can find on the Internet, I see ROHC as a very attractive scheme. I was
wondering if anyone of you can provide me with some information about how to
validate the benefits of using ROHC in wireless links. Is the ROHC code
available for research and academic purposes, is there an implementation of ROHC
in ns-2 or is there some other tool I can use for this purpose?
