Re: [rohc] Modifications to Appendix A in ROHC-06
Hi,
I agree that the version field is STATIC and not STATIC-KNOWN, but why are the
Next Header field from IPv6 and Protocol Field for IPv4 STATIC-KNOWN ?
From my understanding ROHC does not distinguish profiles for an IP/UDP/RTP
datagram and for an IP encapsulated IP/UDP/RTP datagram. They both use profile
1.
But the Next Header/Protocol field is different. And it is sent initially in an
IR packet.
I would say the Next Header/Protocol field are STATIC, not STATIC-KNOWN.
A question on 5.7.6.11 (RTP feedback example) p88:
Assuming small CIDs and CID 0 instead of CID 8:
0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
+---+---+---+---+---+---+---+---+
| 1 1 1 1 0 | 0 1 0 | feedback packet type, Code = 2
+---+---+---+---+---+---+---+---+
| SN LSB = 17 |
+---+---+---+---+---+---+---+---+
Why does Code = 2 while the feedback data is only one octet long ?
Cheers,
Stephanie
