I think we should have just defied that and written and informational
document.  Its kind of silly for the IETF to expect vendors to keep
implementing toward expired internet-drafts long after a defacto
standard exists as is done all too often.

Lets face it.  Jumbo ethernet frames have been around and have been
widely implemented for about 10 years now.
