That you would have to ask the people who defined the a=connection
attribute in the first place :) The ACM simply uses it in order to be
compliant with comedia.

Unfortunately I don't remember the use-case discussions etc from the
time comedia was done, but I guess we can check whether the comedia spec
says something about it.
