Hello,

My comment about this draft is:

This drafts describes a horrible hack for how to render an otherwise well designed protocol useless. It is an absolute shame to make a standard out of it.

By letting this draft become a standard, the interoperability of SIP applications beyond VoIP will be completely broken as developers will not be able to navigate through the exceptions and broken assumptions implied by the proposed mechanism. All security and integrity properties of MSRP protocol become useless by doing it just because some clueless people mentioned it in the past in an OMA document which is full of broken assumptions, this one included. This "thing" should not have never been an MSRP related document at all, it should have described a complete different protocol all together so that people do not get confused by it.

I have implemented all SIMPLE WG related MSRP specifications to date and everything made sense until this draft showed up. This does not make sense.

This is a horrible way for SIMPLE WG to complete its agenda after having produced an excellent suite of MSRP standards.

Best regards,
Adrian
