A B2BUA that has the propoerty of header transparency would not change
headers, as said. However, not all B2BUAs have such a property. For
example, the 3GPP Topology Hiding Internetwork Gateway, or THIG,
transforms headers that reveal topology information about the operator
network. The DCS/PacketCable "Anonymizer" transforms headers that reveal
the identity or location of a caller. Even a basic proxy actually changes
some headers, for example Via and possibly Route and Record-Route.
