Yes, what I had in mind was the non-delivery of packets, e.g. for the reason of non-sequential delivery.

SIP will not tell you you have missed any packets in this case.


But if the sender follows basic NIT rules and doesn't overlap transactions within the dialog, then you'll never have out-of-order delivery. If you're sending ordered delivery, don't send packet 2 until packet 1 gets ACKed.
