i fully agree with dean here.  dean's proposal is easy understand and
implement.  h-i is far too complex because of all the indexing stuff,
hassle with uri params vs. h-i params, etc.

again i fully agree.  whatever h-i tried to accomplish was clearly to
too much, because it resulted into complexity that never got implemented
by popular UAs or proxies.
