Hmm .. all the messages I've read so far seem to presuppose that CALEA is a
telephony thing.  CALEA actually addresses all transactions provided by common
carriers including packet data, regardless of the nature of the content in the
packet.  TIA and PCIA have addressed different aspects of packet data over
wireless sources in response to CALEA but no one seems to be addressing the
wireline equivalents.

Have I missed some change in the nature of the CALEA requirements at some point
that would limit this to VoIP, only?
