Visa Policy

Following Visa Policy is valid as of December 17, 2006, but may quickly change any time. Contact the nearest Czech Embassy or Consulate below for the latest information.

Visa Not Required

Citizens of the USA and other more than 50 countries do not need visa to visit the Czech Republic for a limited period of time. This period differs country to country. For a more information on countries, you can visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Czech Republic web site.
Here is a list of most countries that do not require visas, this list may not be complete and it is advised that you visit the link above for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Up to 30 days without visa
Citizens of Bulgaria, Cyprus, Romania and Singapore are allowed to stay up to 30 days without visa.

Up to 90 days without visa
Citizens of Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Costa Rica, Chile, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France (included Martinique, New Caledonia, Reunion, Quadeloupe, French Guyana and for periods of up to 30 days Wallis, Futuna, French Polynesia), Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands (included Curacao), New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States of America, Uruguay and Vatican are allowed to stay up to 90 days without visa.

Up to 180 days without visa
Citizens of United Kingdom are allowed to stay up to 180 days without visa.

Visa Required

Other foreign visitors are required to have visa. No visa can be obtained at the border or at the airports. The maximum length of any individual stay in the Czech Republic based on a visa is 90 days. Bearer of Czech tourist visa must register at any Czech Immigration Police Station within 3 days after arrival in the Czech Republic. Visitors staying in hotels are registered automatically. The Main Immigration Police Office is located at Olsanska 2, Praha 3.

Single Entry Visa Fees
A single entry visa for a period of stay not exceeding 90 days usually costs $21. Special rates are applied for citizens of some countries. Consult the nearest Czech Embassy or Consulate.

Multiple Entry Visa Fees
A multiple entry visa for a period of stay not exceeding 90 days usually costs $80. Special rates are applied for citizens of some countries. Consult the nearest Czech Embassy or Consulate.
