If you are considering arriving on the Saturday before IETF 71 (March 8, 2008), please be aware that the Philadelphia Flower Show is taking place next door at the Philadelphia Convention Center. This is a very popular show which attracts over 250,000 people each year. It is run by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, and is the largest indoor flower show in the world. That show ends on the Sunday that IETF 71 begins, so most people will be checking out the same day that most IETF people will be checking in. Thus, if you plan to arrive early, contact the hotel ASAP to make your reservation and understand that the Saturday rate may be higher (or unavailable) due to high demand. Hilton Garden Inn Check-in: after 4:00 P.M. ET; Check-out: prior to 11:00 A.M. ET Reservations Procedures to receive the IETF group rate you must use one of the methods below to make your reservation): Location: The Garden Inn is approximately 3 blocks from the Marriott. Cancellation Policy:Individuals are responsible for reservations cancelled within forty-eight (48) hours of the arrival date (includes room and tax). Early departures may be subject to an early departure fee of $75. Likewise, individuals that make a reservation and neglect to cancel forty-eight (48) prior to arrival and/or not check into the hotel will be classified as a "no-show" and will be subsequently charged room and tax for one nights stay. Parking: Convenient parking for hotels guests is located in the covered, parking garage below the hotel. There is a 6'3" clearance in the garage. Currently, the fee is $21.00 per car, per night with in and out privileges. This rate is subject to change without notice. The parking garage is a separate entity and not associated with the hotel.
