SCTP bakeoff - some statistics
12 companies participated resulting in (12 * 11) / 2 = 66 possible combinations.
It took approximately 1 day to test basic connectivity. Almost all possible combinations were tested.
There were 30 - 35 people doing tests and online debugging.
The implementations mostly ran on Linux (Intel) systems. Some used Solaris (Sparc) and Windows NT.
There were 4 scenarios
- No loss, no delay: 59
- No loss, but delay: 38
- Loss, but no delay: 15
- loss and delay: 8
Some of the results went into the final version of the draft.
